South Asian Ethnic Design Wedding Cakes
Indian South Asian Inspired Wedding CakesYou cannot have a wedding without a wedding cake! And one of the more impressive things that your wedding guests will remember, apart from your beautiful self in your lovely wedding gown, is the wedding cake.
An interesting trend I have noticed in the past few years or so in wedding cake designs for the South Asian community is ethnic inspired "embroidered" cake. That is, the cakes are decorated with ethnic inspired motifs. Some of them resemble embroidery you will see on South Asian or Indian clothes, and some others resemble elaborate bridal henna (mehndi) designs.
Whatever it is, the effect is stunning. It is almost a shame to have to cut into such a spectacular cake, but you can be sure your guests will remember it long after it's been diminished into their stomachs!
